Spouse Visa Holder Entry

Post by SidKumar » Fri Oct 19, 2007 6:41 pm

Hi,
My cousin got her Spouse visa based on her husband workpermit visa.
He is still trying to sort out his commitments before coming here.

One of our common friends is getting married next month.

The question is Can my cousin (Spouse visa holder) come here before her husband to London to attend wedding?

There are no restrictions written on her visa except availing public funds.

Many Thanks

Technically, IMO there is no law that states that the dependent visa holder or the spouse visa holder should come into the UK only after or with the person who is main sponsor. But that said, it can be a bit of a snag if the IO were to decide against it.

Proceed at your own risk.
