spouse visa on adequate maintenance

Asking question for someone.

Can someone please confirm if applying through the adequate maintenance test for income how many worth of payslips are required ?

The sponsor gets carers allowance but has just started a part time job and meets the adequate maintenance test. the only thing is that currently there is only 1 month worth of payslip, for that would it be ok to apply just with 1 payslip or does it follow the same process of providing at least 6 months worth of payslips. In that case will they have to wait another 5 months then put in the spouse visa application ?
