Spouse Visa Part 8.4.12

Post by Farha89 » Tue Nov 09, 2010 3:48 pm

Hello
I am flying to India in December to get married to an Indian and hope to bring him back with me

I am filling out the application and have found this question- Have you lived with your sponsor in a relationship like a marriage or a civil partnership at any time(including since a wedding or civil partnership ceremony)?
I am the sponsor a British resident

I met my fiancé in 1998 and we began our relationship in 2006 and I have gone to visit him every year since then, when I fly out there I am there for no more that 4 weeks and I stay at my family home where he stays with me the whole of the duration. what would the answer be to this question and what documentary evidence will I need as I can't provide any information as I don't permanently live there. However we will be living together at my families house after marriage so this may confuse the situation even more [/b]

The answer is No.

You are not married and you have not lived ina civil relationship. The fact that you see him once in a while makes no difference. You should declare that you have met and seen each other several times whilst on your visit to India.

Yes Casa is right. Sorry I thought you were going to apply for a fiance visa rather than a spouse visa

You do not have to provide any official documents to show that you lived together after your wedding. Wedding photohraphs or fotos taken after wedding should be sufficient

fantastic thank you very much
just to confirm I will tick yes and use my wedding photos as evidence and this should be sufficient to meet the application and home office requirements
