Spouse visa queries

Post by SoHopeful » Mon Jun 07, 2010 8:25 pm

I aim to get a number of supporting letters together for my fiance's visa app but how recent will they need to be?

We are not submitting until Nov at the earliest but i plan to request letters from aug/sept to give people time to do the letters. Would ECOs consider these current if dated since then?

Also im an agency worker but my contract is ongoing and has been since March, but would this an issue? My wage is £420 a week after tax plus wtc/ctc. I can show that im able to save but at the mo my savings are going towards flights and wedding plans, then eventually towards visa costs. I get weekly payslips - how many do i submit this? And would a letter from my agency suffice to explain all this?

Any views on this?

Thanks

Most of the documents that you will have to provide should be dated around 6- 8 weeks before application.

Anything more than this will probally be not accepted by ECO . He wants to know your sittuation as near as possible to the time he looks at your application. So things done 4 months ago would be of no use and will almost certainly end in a refusal
