Are you a legal resident in the US? If so, what type of visa are you on? Were/are either of you eligible for US Citizenship?

paocar, you can apply for Entry cleareance as spouse from US as long as you are a legal resident there. If not you have to travel back to your home country (In your case British Embassy. Lima) and apply from there. Its the quickest way. Good luck
