Spouse Visa

Post by Didijoff » Mon Jan 18, 2021 12:55 pm

My Spouse is British and lives is the UK. We have been married for over 3 years. I live and work outside the UK. I normally come to the UK to be with my family on Visitor’s visa. However, we are now considering to get a Spouse Visa for me going forward. We are not clear on how the fact that I live and work outside the UK would affect my Permanent Resident application in the future. Will my future PR application be negatively affected if I continue to live and work outside the UK during the initial 2 and half years validity of a Spouse Visa?

Also, can anyone kindly respond with the Home Office link on the Rules with regards to the effect of living and working outside the UK during the initial 2.5 years Spouse Visa validity period, on an eventual Permanent Resident application. Thanks
