1G spouse visa - working for a company abroad

Post by Melkor1983 » Sat Apr 06, 2024 11:38 am

Hi all,
I am currently looking for a solution to my situation. I am a holder of a stamp 1G as the spouse of a CSE and a company abroad, that has no Irish entity, wants to hire me.
The solution I understand is applicable in this case is the use of an umbrella company.
I searched the internet and found xxx xxxxxxx who are suggesting a PAYE umbrella scheme (They will register me under the PRSI A with revenue), however in the contract they provide they want me to state that I am an independent contractor, not an employee.
Do I understand correctly that this will be a breach of my visa limitations?
