Dear all,
I am on Tier 2 (General) visa. In October 2018, I went to the Bethnal Green police station to report my address change. I was late (reported after 3 weeks compared to 7 days). The police officer asked for an explanation. I told him that the work was really busy and I did not have time to get out of the office. He took note and told me that he needs to notify. But there is no 'Late registration' warning in my certificate.
He wrote down my new address to the registration certificate. He also wrote 2 codes. I guess one code shows the police station and the seconder one is his ID (or collar number). However, he did not stamp the relevant box.
I will apply ILR soon and I wonder if not stamping the document is usual. Instead of stamp, the officer wrote his ID number and police station code in the box.
Separately, can late registration create a problem?
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards
