Start date delay after CoS assigned and applied for visa

Hi,

I just got a job in the UK and got my CoS assigned. The start and end dates are as follows

CoS Start: April 6,2022
CoS End: July 6, 2022
Work start date: Jun 6, 2022

I am in the process of applying for visa. I am reading online that with the Ukraine situation visa processing might be delayed. I have a few basic questions and hope someone can help me out

1. If my visa is delayed and I cannot get it before Jun 6, can the company amend the start date to a new date on the existing CoS?

2. If option 1 is not possible and if a new CoS is needed, can I used the visa that is issued along with new CoS to enter UK and begin work?

3. If option 2 is also not possible, do I need a new CoS and new visa? If so I might continue to have the same issues since visa processing timeline is out of our hand.

1. Your company can add a sponsor note to the existing CoS if there is delay.

Thank you very much. That is very helpful. I have another question. Is it possible to also change the start date in the CoS after the visa is issued in case I can’t wrap up personal things before start date?

No, it cannot be changed after issuance.

You must normally stop sponsoring the worker and inform us via your SMS
account if the start date is delayed by more than 28 days after whichever is
the latest of:
• the start date recorded on the worker’s CoS (including any amendment to
that date you have told us about via SMS while the worker was awaiting a
decision on their application)
• the date the worker’s entry clearance (visa) becomes valid
• the date the worker is granted permission to enter or permission to stay
