Starting a business after graduation

Hi all

I'm expected to finish my PhD degree in May 2012, which is just after the PSW deadline. One of the reasons of coming to the UK to do my PhD 3 years ago is the ability to start my own business on PSW after my PhD. Now that it has been scheduled to be cancelled by April, what options do I have? I can't imagine finding myself £200k and apply for a Tier 1. The £50k route isn't viable either. The gov mentioned something about a student entrepreneur visa, but that seems to have disappeared into the abyss...
