Dear wise ones in this forum,

If I apply for a Tier 1 (General) visa, I know that this entitles me to work in the UK. But does it allow me to start a business in the UK too? Will I be allowed to employ other people too?

Yes - you can start your own business and employee others. Even you are allowed to hire peopl with work permit.
