Hi.. pls consider my case and give me your advice.

Staying in WP Vs Tier1

i am currently under Workpermit - Entry stamped as 7 th April 2008. With this i am eligible for ILR on March 11 th , 2013
I have an appointment at a PEO on Mar 14 th, 2011 for Tier 1 Visa and based on my success , my Tier 1 Visa will be valid till March 14 th 2013
I have 2 questions

1) Between my ILR eligibility and visa ending date is only 4 days. Is there any risk i need to aware off.

2) I am hearing that ILR eligibility post April 2011, one needs to show the same salary status. This is risky as my salary is a mix of fixed salary and Bonus.

pls give me your advice

Under current directions, if your leave will expire any earlier than 28 days before your 5th anniversary of entry / stay in the UK as an economic migrant, you'll need to apply for another extension before becoming eligible for settlement.

No one can answer that for you today, for definite, without any detailed information about the "proposed changes". You may know the answer / expect a definite response before your date of appointment if these details become known by then. Else, anyone's guess is as good as yours.

Little intrigued here.
With 7th April, 2008 WP date; won't this be valid till 7th April, 2011?

If so, why are you asking for T1-G validity from 14th March when you have ILR gap of 5-days to cover.
Or, with PEO, validity starts at same day?

- Hi..7 th April, 2008 was my first workpermit for 2 years and got extended now till Feb 2013..which will not complete 5 years.

Getting my Tier1 on March 14 th, 2011 will get me till Mar 14 th 2013 which will make me eligible.

Hope i am right here.

New Question - my biggest worry is if new ILR rules states that we needs to qualify again then salary will be the big question as i am in 65k bracket for eligiblity due to my age and sustaning 65k will be hard due to the bonus factor
