Post by arsenal49 » Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:02 pm

Hello everyone,

What if someone applies for a psw AFTER hi/her student visa is expired but satisfies all the requirements of psw application.

What happens in this scenario.

Thanks

1. Depends the reasons for late applications.
2. If due to critical situation or same situation then it will be considered.
3. U will have to explain the reasons for late application.
4. If not a valid reason more chances of refusal.
5. Plus if visa is expired then the stay in the UK is not legal (im sure u r aware of that).

If I remember right there was a question which asks whether your current visa has expired or not and there was no space to provide additional info. My guess is that the application will be rejected.

1. In the above case question D15, D16 and D17 will be used to give details about that and the reasons.

The most probable reasons in your case is not acceptable.

A scenario where the PSW applicant is waiting for the 3months maintenance to complete, and Visa is expiring before the 3 months elapse.

If this is your case, they will refuse you as the reason is not sufficient.

However, search in this forum for a similar application where an applicant posted the application with wrong card no. then the card could not be charges, so application was returned. but before the application get backs, it quite awhile to complete the 3 months, so they applicant has to resend the application and was issued Visa, However, case differs.
if you cannot find it, let me know I will try to search for it.

Thanks everyone who replied.

I am pretty sure i saw the post somewhere in this forum which sort of suggested that the ONLY downside of sending an application after the visa has expired is that you dont get the chance to appeal in case of rejection. This implies that if you give them all docs AFTER visa has expired then they will make a decision and if it satisfies, they will grant you a visa. Otherwise reject it and ask you to leave country.

What am i missing here?

Thanks

Does that mean automatic rejection?
