student to permit free visa

Post by aramina » Mon Apr 11, 2005 9:49 pm

I am currently holding Student Visa which will be expiring in 2 months. I am a doctor and I have already passed PLAB exams and now ELIGIBLE FOR GMC REGISTRATION. I now intend to apply for Permit-Free Training visa to undertake postgraduate training in a hospital.

Going through the FLRO Form (Version 04/2005) I have few questions as to the requirements as quoted in Section 5E:
(a) GMC/GDC registration certificate
Question: I am not registered yet with GMC because I have to have job offer first before I can be issued GMC certificate. So can I just instead submit the GMC Letter stating my Eligibility for Registration?

(b) a document showing that you intend to undertake postgraduate training in a hospital
Question: I don't have job offer yet but I am in the process of applying for postgraduate training in hospital. Will the acknowledgement receipt of my applications submitted to the hospital enough as document of my intention to undertake postgraduate training?
