Post by varunkv » Fri Sep 04, 2009 6:56 am

I have been given a visa only for 14 months instead of the usual 16 months due to a mistake from my university which has printed the duration as only 11 months and 25 days without taking the orientation date as the start date. To cut a long story short, shud i come back to India to apply for the psw as my visa expires by next november and by that time none of the reults wud be out for the university to give a provisional psw letter for applying..need ur help guys..

Actually its the same case with me and I do not intend to go back coz my visa expired before I can apply for post-study. As I a realize its a bigger issue. Students have been awarded 2months extension and in some cases 4months extension. This is a inconsistency on their part.

There are several cases like this and our university is trying to resolve this issue with Home Office and respective issuing centers. They told me to just wait and watch for now and hopefully they'll correct it back to 4 month extension.

I would like to hear more if anybody has more news on it.

Regards.
