Student Visa Query

Hi,

I would be applying soon for a visa. I just wanted to ask would a provident fund be an appropriate source of funding. I have the bank statement and also have a letter from the bank that the money can be withdrawn within five working days. Please let me know if i can show the bank statement as a source of funding or would i need to transfer the money to a savings account.
