Studying abroad another country with Green Card

hello guys, im 17 and planning to study abroad in Thailand for 4 years. Right now im a permanent resident. My parents will be applying for citizenship this upcoming year. i have several questions to ask. first, would i get citizenship through my parents, when they get it next year? second, if not, is there any other way i can keep my green card if im staying abroad for a long time?
