Is it ok to submit ILR application a week before dependent visa expires?

Is it ok to submit ILR application a week before dependent visa expires?

Hi all,

I got my ILR a few years ago and my son who was born outside of the UK is still on a dependent visa, which expires in the last week of November 2022. I am planning on submitting his ILR application in the first week of November. Is it ok for his dependent visa to expire soon after ILR application submission? Is it ok to do a standard ILR application rather than expedited one?

Yeah that's fine. You can apply anytime before his current visa expires. To the last 24 hours (not advisable though). But you get the drift. :lol:

Yes it is OK. After the application is completed your son's rights will be protected by section 3(C) as you are applying before his current visa expires.
