Suggestion required from Frontier Mole

Post by Shan77 » Sun Jan 04, 2009 3:28 pm

1. I am currently on a IGS visa and working for a company as a senior administrator. After the completion of my pgd in IT, I was granted IGS in March 2008 and I started working full time for the company (I used to work for them part time while on a student visa) and my current earning is £2.5K per month. Now my intention was to study full time MSc in Information Technology Management programme under Sunderland University while on a IGS/PSW visa. I spoke to my current employer and they were convinced to provide me the flexibility to study. I contacted UKBA and was told that I can't study full time while holding a IGS/PSW visa. My question is, can I switch from IGS to student visa to study full time and then apply again for PSW after the completion of my masters degree. One other reason I want to study full time and achieve the Master degree in a year time because I will be applying for Tier 1 (general) in shortest possible time and want to claim points for my full time Masters qualification. My current company is more than interested to apply a tier 2 WP for me but as you know tier 1 (General) is always a safe option.

2. My wife who is currently on a IGS dependednt visa studied Uni access programme from Tower Hamlets College and made a brilliant result. She has received acceptance of offer from Queen Mary and Anglia Ruskin University to study Bachelors degee. She is now desperate to commence her course of study. My question is, if she studies full time while on a dependent visa, would it be possible for her to apply PSW/Tier 1 (General) in future. If not, then do you suggest her to switch from dependent to student visa (i know it will be out of country application).

I am in fact trying to keep all the options open. Now obviously a easier and better option should be chosen.

Waiting for your(FM) reply. Thanks in advance.
