Really looking for help with the extremely confusing C1 application for my British passport. I'm from Australia but my mother was born in Scotland and for her own weird reason she won't let me use her copy of her birth certificate to use in my application. I ordered a copy with GRO over the phone and they sent me an (I quote):
"Extract of an entry in a REGISTER OF BIRTHS"
at the bottom is reads:
"This extract is evidence of an event recorded in a register. It is NOT evidence of the identity of the person presenting it"
3 questions.
1) Is this enough to send off, because that note at the bottom is very off putting/worrying?
2) If not, where can I get a full copy of the certificate from? As opposed to the extract.
3) Apart from proof of my mother's identity/birth, my birth certificate, and some forms of identity (along with all the relevant froms to apply obviously), is there anything I'm forgetting that I need to include in the application?
Thanks
