Do supporting documents have to be in English?

Post by js1000 » Sun Sep 06, 2009 12:39 am

Do all supporting documents provided with a visa application have to be in English?

If they do, do they have to be translated by an official translator or could anyone do it?

Thanks

If your official documents aren't in English and you need to have them translated by a professional translator.
Where are you submitting the application?

Colombia.

I can't find any information on the embassy website about whether documents need translating.

Some Overeas Posts are willing to accept documents in the local language, while others are not. It's safer to have them translated, unless you have confirmation that Columbia will accept them (I assume) in Spanish.
