Switch from Tier2 to Tier1 visa

Hi,

1) I am working on Tier2(IntercompanyTransfer) visa and valid till Jan 2012
2) My spouse in Tier2 dependent visa and at present living in UK
3) My child in Tier2 dependent visa and at present living in India

I want to switch my visa from Tier2 to Tier1(General)
After the latest rules will I still be eligible for switching my T-2(G) to T-1(G) post April-2011?

If i am eligable to switch from tier2 to tier1 then Do i need to covert my child visa also ? (as he is in India )
Or can i apply his visa later also ?

HI,

Post april 2011 you will not be able to switch from tier 2 to tier 1. If you want to do it please do it before april 2011

Tier 1 (General) overseas will not reopen for applications. Tier 1 (General) in the UK will remain open until 5 April 2011. There will be transitional arrangements beyond 6 April 2011 for some applicants who are already in the UK, and we will announce details of these in due course.
