Post by aqua_freak » Fri Jul 15, 2005 8:34 pm

Hello Everybody,

I am in UK as WP holder for the last 3 months. I have been here before as student and completed my Masters.

Can please someone tell is it possible to switch from WP to HSMP and if so can I apply now with my 3 pay slips or do i require 12 months income proof.

ALl the help in this regard will be appreciated.

You are allowed to switch into HSMP from work permit in country provided your HSMP application has been approved. Please read HSMP guidance regarding your HSMP queries.

I myself switched from a work permit to an hsmp. In my personal opinion, being on work permit has a certain advantage in obtaining an hsmp, as you are already settled in uk with a job and income. Moreover easily verifiable reference, uk bank statements etc.

Thanks Jaz and Mwazir for info. Before I proceed, just wanted to confirm is it ok to state that my income was that of 3 months and not of 1 year. will the hsmp team consider this or will the require 1 year proof of income.

Thanks
