Switching In-Country HSMP dependants

Post by ND » Thu Jul 05, 2007 1:32 pm

Can someone through somelight regarding "HSMP dependants" switching In-Country ? I have recently heard people talking that dependants need to go to home country for EC and that they cannot switch in-country ,
Is this true ?

Can someone provide the link from HO website ? I checked the guidance but could'nt find any details.

Thanks,
ND

Hi ND, I recently applied for EC in UK to convert from Student to HSMP dependent, they have refused my application and stated that I can continue as a student till my visa is valid. under some act 1971 sec 94... called Home office they said I have to go back to home country to get EC... Confused.. as one of my friend got his visa converted 2 months ago ???? if u have any info please forward..
