switching from company director to self employed

I had my visa in ealry January with help of kind and genius people on this forum. Can anyone please tell me if
1) it is possible to switch from company director to self employed. The nature of my work is such that i dont earn on monthly basis.
2) The idea is that i register myself to self employed and then claim salary from my £500000 investment on monthly basis as i am getting nothing from my work so if its not possible how to support myself?
3) If its possible that i register myself as self employed, should i close my company?

yes you can switch anytime from limited company to self employed if you want. However, your own salary even you are self employed or company director should not come from 50k. You can take salary(as director or self employed) from income your business is generating any time. So in my personal view there is no point or benefit of switching from director to self employed in your case as you will need to explain things at extention....

If you are thinking to show investment by providing salary to yourself by registering as self employed that will not count at all so its not a good idea.

What are the basis of your Business Plan.If you are doing business(which definitely you would be according to Tier1 E) so you should employ and invest
Explain your business plan,on the basis of which you git visa then somebody might be able to explain a bit
