What is the basis of your "Irish Residency"?

You can't switch from a visit visa to anything else. If you think you qualify in some way to stay in the UK you would have to apply either in Ireland or in your own country.

As per this post, you are Tier 1 (PSW) migrant with an application to switch to Tier 1 (General) under consideration.

A simple sentence - "Query on behalf of someone" is helpful, rather than assuming the identity of another person.

This said, we encourage that people register and post their own queries. It avoids confusion (as above) and also because that someone other than the person concerned may not be privy to information asked for in response(s) to the query (as Mr Rusty has asked, but you may not know).
