Switching from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 G

Hi,

Am sorry to ask again but I'm still very confused and not used to immigration policies. I am currently on Tier 2 ICT (gotten Aug 2012) that would be expiring in Aug 2015. What are the possibilities to switch to Tier 2 G? I've heard I need to leave UK for 12months and then come back. Please someone help explain a bit.

since your initial T2 ICT visa was issued after April 2011 you cannot switch to T2G in the UK, you'll have to leave the UK and apply for entry clearance with a restricted CoS after 1 year cooling-off.
