Switching from Tier 2 to Tier 1 dependant visa

Post by vik28 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 1:22 pm

Hi All,

Currently I am in UK on a work visa which will expire in Feb'12 and my wife is on the dependant work visa.

I would now like to switch my visa (as I do not want to be restricted to the same employer) to tier 1 but am not able to qualify, but my wife is able to achieve 110 points under the point based calculator. I know we both have to travel to India to obtain our visas.

Will there be any problem for me to switch from main applicant to a dependant? Will BHC have any issues with the same? Has anyone faced a similar situation?

Your advice much appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Vikash
