Switching from tier 4 to tier 2

Hello
A quick question. I am switching from tier 4 to tier 2 general in the uk. Regarding the maintenance funds, if my employer specified that they will accommodate and fund me for 1st month of employment, do they need to show any evidence for it? if yes what types of evidence are required? Or just stating it is enough.

if your sponsor ticks the maintenance box when they assign the CoS that is sufficient.
