Switching from WP to Tier1 General (Highly skilled worker)

Hi

I am willing to switch my work permit visa into Tier1.
My WP validity starts from Jan 2008 to Jan 2013.

I work as an IT professional.

Not sure if there is any way to switch into Tier1.

Any help is appriciated.

Tier1 general root is closed from 6th april 2011
