Switching 2b INT'L STUDENT DEPENDANT

Post by zee_aziz » Thu Aug 16, 2007 3:01 pm

Hi!,
I want to become an International student dependant, me and my spouse are in UK on student visas, the case is described as below:

My situation: Arrived in Uk on 11/07/04...was studying...still got student visa until 31/12/2007. I have withdrawal from college in July 2007

Her situation: Arrived in Uk on 26/10/04...has been studying...still she has visa until 30/04/08. She is still enrolled at college.

Our situation: We have been to Pakistan in 2006 and got married there...got marriage certificate, but marriage has not been registered in Uk. My mother-in-law is willing to be a sponsor in this case.

QUESTION 1: WHICH FORM IS NEEDED TO FILL IN?

QUESTION 2: WHO IS GOING TO FILL IN APPLICATION FORM...ME OR HER?

QUESTION 3: DO I HAVE TO TAKE ADMISSION SOMEWEHRE TO KEEP MY STUDENT STATUS OR NOT?

Thank you very much

Hello,

You will have to leave the UK and lodge your application to BHC in order to become a dependent. In country application in your circumstances would not be possible.

I think you can switch to dependent visa, provided you get permission from HO to her married and register your marriage here. Since you both are on student visa and you both have valid visa, you can certainly become her dependent (provided you can show that you have sufficient fund to stay in UK).
