switching to a new job with less passport validity

hi all am on tier2 visa now and am planning to change my job my passport validity will expire in 2 yrs.. , if the company is ready to sponsor,is it still alright for me to make the tier2 application as the minimum validation of visa is 3 years...

please advise

Yes, you can. The validity of passport does not matter. You need to carry both the old and new passport once you renew it. Check this: https://www.gov.uk/transfer-visa
