T2G - initial delay in joining employer and travel history during that time

Hi All,

I need some guidance, as I am applying for ILR post 5 years work in T2G route.

Background:

My initial T2G visa was granted on 24-Mar-2015. I travelled to UK on 21-Jun-2015, joining date with my employer was 13-Jul-2015. but due to Family emergency, I had to travel back to my home country
on 05-Jul-2015 (reason - Father was seriously ill, I had to be with him and travelled back to UK on
10-Aug-2015, once he felt better). due to this my start date with employer was delayed.

note : my father was sick again in Oct-2015 and was diagnosed with rare form of Cancer (Ampullary carcinoma - STG 3), for which he has undergone surgery and Chemotherapy later on.

I changed employer in 2016 and had further leave to remain as T2G.

2016 to 2020, I have all my required documents in place. for the absence in 2015, I have written a cover letter explaining my absence along with my father's Medical report which explains about the illness and the treatment he has undergone (but this is dated Oct-2015 as it took some time to diagnose the underlying issue).I'm also planning to attach my travel itinerary.

I have below query on my initial Absence from UK (which is out of my employment period).

Query : would my covering letter above along with report/tickets serve the purpose ?
