The next step - ILR

Post by Iman230 » Sat Jul 30, 2011 5:44 pm

Hi All

My Spouse's 2 year Settlement Visa has been done, and she is due to join me soon pending airline ticket.

Was just wondering what's the next step and what documents do I need or is it just the Life in the UK Test and the App form and the fee. It should be straightforward should it not.

Just need some basic info to help me along the way. I want to start as early as possible so I can do everything smoothly...

P.S - Just wanted to share a thankyou to Moderator John for his part in getting the visa sorted for the spouse! Hope your reading JOHN.

You would need to show the cohabitation for the 2 years period, joint bank statements, utility bills, council tax, wage slips etc. Rules are being changed for spouse settlement so please check at the time of eligibility what exactly the requirements are in place by then.
