Is the seal & signature mandatory in payslip ?

Post by hi4murali » Tue Apr 27, 2010 2:17 pm

I came to UK 3 months back and planning to apply tier1. I have PDF version of payslip issued in India which has company logo and name. Would like to know if it is mandatory to have seal & signature in payslip ? Please let me know.

Also would like to know if Form-16 is required for filing - if so, for how many years? Currently I have form-16 for 2008-09 only (in PDF version) and for the current year it is not issued yet. I could not trace Form-16 of 2007-08. So, will it be okay if I just submit one year Form 16 (PDF version) 2008-09?

Thanks,
Murali

yes the pay slip needs to be signed and stamped if not available on company letter head.

payslips – either formal payslips or on company-headed paper. If payslips are not on headed paper or are received online they should be authenticated by your employer with signature and stamp. You must provide payslips for each month claimed
