I think we made a mistake ! please help

Post by woolies » Thu Nov 21, 2013 11:53 am

Hello members,

I am about to apply my mrs spouse visa in 3 weeks time, we married last year as in nikkah only, and meant to be fully married in 2 weeks. she has completed all the documents i.e passport, NIC, Toiec, TB test, and my documents are ready as well but today I found out that all on the documents (new passport, NIC, and TB) she stated her old address whereas I think its suppose to be my back home address. and i was looking on the application form yesterday and it asks for groom home address.

Any ideas here, we are really worried now that it might reject.

Your post is confusing as you say that you are about to appy, which implies that you are the applicant rather than the sponsor. Indeed, all of the questions on the application form are asked to the applicant, even when the question is making direct reference to the sponsor. So, it's not clear from your post whose address is being requested. Clearly if the applicant is outside the UK, they will cite the address in their location, rather than the address of their intention when they arrive in the UK.

Whatever problem you think you are having with the on-line submission, it's possible to make any corrections to that information by handwriting the new information on the printout that is handed to the VAC.

thanks for your reply,

i dont think its confusing at all, on her new passport in which i am her husband and same as NI card (pakistan) shows me as husband, but address on them is still my mrs address where she was born, shouldn't be my address there as she suppose to live with me after we got married.
My mrs will apply spouse visa in pakistan and i will be her sponsor

HI

its doesn't make any difference what ever the address is on her Pakistani National Identity card (NIC), you have to mention current address in her visa application form where she is living now.

Thanks for the reply,

So it wouldn't be any issue if passport and id were applied AFTER we got married ?
i am worried as she is so close of applying and I just spotted that out.

Thanks
