Is this possible?

Post by gollywood » Sun Mar 16, 2008 9:42 pm

Through a friend, I was introduced to a guy from India who was visiting England for a short trip.

He claimed that he was going back to India, getting married in India in the Summer and then coming back to England with his wife to settle down here within a couple of months.

Facts:

-Both he and his wife to be are Indian (born & bred)
-Lived in India all their lives (apart from the one visit made by this guy recently for a couple of months)
-Neither is educated to any high standard

So my question is, how can these 2 people be coming to the UK to settle down and husband/wife. Is there some 'programme'

Or have they been talking to dodgy lawyers :)

The easiest way of corrupting the migration system is Asylum. Here u go........everything is free and no background checks, no criminal checks. U donna need to work or have any qualification but u get money, education, heath etc etc. But only thing u gotta do is to produce more & more kids and marry so many women. The bigger the family the bigger the house and money. Hope u got the point.

It may help if he can give more details of his circumstances. What category is he planning on applying under?

To be honest, I didnt ask - but he did mention that his mother who was born in Uganda had a 'British Overseas Citizen Passport'.

She ocassionally visits England - but hasnt ever spent more than 6 months here.

Dont know if that is relavent

OK, I spoke to my friend. He says:-

That the mother who holds a British Overseas Citizen Passport was entitled to visit England for 6 months

Her son (Indian national) came as a visitor to look after her for the trip - dont know what catagory that would be ('dependant or health etc)

The mother might have applied to live in the UK - and her son who has now married back home in India will be coming back to the UK with his mother and wife.

So, is that possible? Under what grounds would it be possible (the brother has another sibling in Scotland who is a British Citizen)

Does his mother have any other citizenship?

No - her 1st passport was this British Overseas Citizen passport. I dont believe she has ever held an Indian passport, despite living there for 40 odd years.

She has visted England on 3-4 ocassions, but thats about it.

She could still have been an Indian citizen up to the point she got her BOC passport. How long has she held a British passport for?

Might have had one when travelling from Uganda to India in the 60s.

Then one made up about 10 years ago before 1st visit to England.

Maybe another one to replace the expired one for subsequent visits in 2001/03/07.

Has Indian ID card etc. Dont think she ever had an Indian passport though.
