Tier 2 application query

Post by tier2applicant » Mon Oct 31, 2011 8:51 pm

I am going to reapply Tier 2 application and I have a a question

On the application under section J. its asks for CoS number. Also it asks for previous CoS. My previous Tier 2 application was rejected because of wrong CoS, am I supposed to enter the rejected CoS ?

I am asking this because I don't have the rejected CoS reference number.

ideally, you should provide it. its irrelevant if it was accepted or rejected.

if you dont have it, then i suggest you make a note of it in covering letter.

I have already made the application without the old CoS and didn't add any covering letter.

I just got the old CoS back,

What would you suggest me to do ? Is there a way I could notify UKBA about the old CoS ?

Is this the application form to notify about the old CoS to UKBA ?

You can't use the same COS number twice. If you applied and were refused you need to request a new COS number for that new application; the old COS number is no longer valid.

169. Your Certificate of Sponsorship is valid for one application only. If your application is refused, you will need a new Certificate of Sponsorship before you can apply again

Hi lucapooka

I have made the application with a new CoS. In my new Tier 2 application form I haven't entered the old CoS in section J2.

I was wondering if the above link to application is the way to notify UKBA about old CoS.

I don't know if its mandatory to mention your previous COS number but I believe when the Case worker inputs your details he/she would have your immigration history. e.g: Your previous TIER2 application and COS.

As far as I'm aware you were refused cause you applied 3 months before the start date ? I personally don't think it will affect your 2nd application. Just pray your Job title, SOC & Salary meet the requirements. Keep us updated mate. Good luck :D

I have decided to notify UKBA with my old CoS, don't want to give them a reason to reject my second application. Can I just confirm if this is the application form to do so ?

Please suggest.

I don't think a change of circumstances form is appropriate. If you missed something out on the form then you could write to tell them, but they will already know your old CoS number because surely you put it on your last (rejected) application?

Get the old CoS number from your sponsor and call the UKBA helpline for advice.

I think your current app should not be affected by the lack of what is, after all, an irrelevant old CoS number that counts for nothing. You should have stated it on your form but it would be totally unfair for the UKBA to punish you for that.

Yes, I did put it on the previous application and it was rejected based on wrong dates on the CoS. The sponsorship portal shows the old CoS as used.
