Tier 2-Change of employer; eligibility to work

Hi All,

I am in the process of changing my employer and hence applying for a new Tier 2 (General) visa. I am going to get it done through Premium same day service of the Home Office, in the last week of January. My query is regarding working for my old employer. When should I stop working for my previous employer, is it on the day of the appointment when the Home Office approves my application or is it on the day I receive my BRP which is usually 10 days later?
