Tier 1 dependant extension after main applicant's ILR

Post by RustyNail » Fri Jun 06, 2014 12:09 pm

Hi all

I'm applying an extension of stay for my wife and would like to confirm that based on my circumstances below, my plan to go about it is all correct.

My circumstances:
Myself: I have received ILR as PBS migrant on 14/04/2014 after completing the 5 years stay as PBS migrant requirement.
My wife: She joined me in the UK on 15/05/2013 as PBS dependant. Her current visa expires on 04/07/2014.

Questions:
1. I am booking a premium appointment online and selecting 'Tier 1 (General) as the answer to the question "Which application form are you using to make your application?*" since no option for 'Tier 1 dependant' or 'PBS dependant' is available on the menu. Is this correct?

2. I am using this form -> https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _04-14.pdf Is this correct?

3. I understand I need to show £600 maintenance for her - this is available in my account and my statements will be used. Is this ok?

4. Do I also need to share any information about my employment and income etc? I am a contractor and would rather not send this information if it is not required.

Apologies if some of the questions sound rather newbie-ish. However, they do not require long answers and hopefully someone with the right knowledge will be able to answer these quickly.

Thanks.

These are not required but I was in the same situation as you and I did present 12 months of payslips and bank statements just to be on the safe side

Hi Rustynail,

Could you please let me know the outcome of your dependants application. I am also in the same category and would like to know information about this.

Please help!

Also, what was your answer to the following questions in the application form:
M5; Under which category of the Points Based System has the main applicant applied?
M6; Has the PBS main applicant’s application been assessed in accordance with paragraphs 39 to 42 of the HSMP Forum Ltd. Judicial Review Policy Document?

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... _07-14.pdf

Thanks in advance for any help...

Hi Rustynail,

I am also applying for my wife's tier 1 general dependent visa, can you please confirm with "Yes" as answer for all your questions did you faced any issues during that time.

Thanks,
Srikanth
