Tier 2 Dependant Maintenance funds - Savings accounts

Post by leoartz » Thu Aug 13, 2015 9:23 pm

Heyya

I have been in the Uk under Tier 2 general visa for the past 3 years.I recently got married and Iam on the process of applying Tier 2 dependant visa for my wife who is in Bangalore. I have a doubt regarding the maintenance of funds. I know we have to maintain a minimum of 630 pounds for a period of 90 days in the account. My current account balance went down to 623 pounds for few days in july unexpectedly. Will this cause a problem during the application? However I do have more funds in Standard savers and Cash ISA saver account (under my name ) during that period of that time. Can i submit my Savings accounts mentioned above along with my current account bank statements?

Also under PBS Dependant Policy guideline It says " having savings of £630 which must have been held for at least three months prior to the date of application" Does this mean that we can submit bankstatements 90 days before the application date ? So if Iam applying in August, Could i submit bank statements from Feb to April ?

Any help would be great. I Wish all the success for people who are applying

Thank you

1. The amount going below threshold even for a day will lead to rejection. You can show the amount as a total from two accounts in your name as long as the total is always above threshold. However, you may want to include a letter along with the application explaining what you're trying to do. To avoid complication, is there no account in India where you had the amount? Even spouse's account with necessary amount should suffice.

2. Its pretty straight-forward. You need to have 630 for 90 days prior to your application date. If you apply today, you should have enough money from today until the previous 90 days. Your understanding is wrong.

1. will result in rejection if the balance is below 630 even for a day. can submit isa statement, if the bank agrees to give a statement.
2. u need statement of 3 months, and the latest bank statement should be no more than 28 days older on the day u apply for visa.
