Tier 1 Dependant Visa -- Surname Changed after Marraige

Hi,

My friend is applying for a Tier 1 Dependant Visa.
Her surname has been changed after marraige and her passport has the latest surname only.

1. Does she need to submit the affidavit as a proof of name change even when she is not submitting any other docs which have the name before marriage ?

2. If she does not submit any proof of name change, can HO reject it on the grounds of undisclosure of full details ?

Please give your comments on this . It will be really helpful.

best way of dealing with this is to mention this in covering letter and attach marriage cert

Yes u need to provide evidence that she is your partner i.e. a marriage cert, else why do u think HO will stamp her visa just by sending it with your app without any evidence.
