UK Tier 1 Dependant Visa

Post by snazzyjazzy » Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:34 pm

Hello,

I had a question regarding Tier 1 dependant visa for my baby boy who is 3 months old. I am going to apply for my extension to Tier 1 in the UK in a few months. I was wondering if I can apply for my extension and a new dependant visa for my baby boy born in the UK in one application.

We will be travelling to India and I plan to apply only when my boy is back in the UK. So the queries I have are,

1. Can my boy travel to India and step back into the UK with just a passport and no visa?
2. Can I apply for his dependant visa along with my extension as one application?

Can anyone help me here please?

cheers,
Vikas

No. The child may exit UK without a leave to enter / remain but cannot re-enter UK without one.

Choices:
1. Apply for leave to remain for the child before travelling to India, or
2. Travel to India and apply for entry clearance in India before travelling back to UK.
