Tier-1 Dependent - Funds Maintenance

Post by hsmp2006 » Sun Sep 12, 2010 2:28 pm

Dear All

Is it fine if dependent child's maintenance funds are in father's as well as mother's account? My sister and brother-in-law are maintaining about 1000£ in father's Indian account and 600£ in mother's Indian account. Both funds together make up required 1600£ for last three months. In addition they are maintaining 3200£ in UK bank account, but only for last 2 months.

Brother-in-law is already in UK. Sister's dependent VISA is already through last year, though she is still in India. Visa is currently applied for the new born baby (4 months old).

Thanks in Advance,
hsmp2006.

Thanks for the quick response, Push.

Was really wondering if 1600£ will be enough since mother is also in India at the moment and has never traveled to UK, though she has an approved dependent visa. I presume, from your response, that mother need not show additional 1600£ since she already has visa.

Best,
