Tier 2 dependent or longterm Family Visitor Visa

Hello all

Jut moved to UK from NL and wondering what the best route for my wife to immigrate to UK from India.

Well,my wife is a doctor back in India and she plans to work as a doctor here. However, understood she first has to go through some exams.Now this can probably take some time.

In the mean time we are wondering what is the best visa to get to UK.
Tier 2 dependent costs about 3k for 5 years while it has work restrictions for being a doctor. so eventually she has to go back to India and apply for tier 2 when she has a job.

on the other hand there is long term family visit,which costs approx 1k for 10 years.

So which one is better? will there be any implications if we now do a long term visitor visa while with the intention to apply for a Tier 2 visa for her later.

any experiences in this regard ? all suggestions are welcome.

How much time does your wife intend to spend in the UK? She can't be seen as residing rather than genuinely visiting.

She going to spend around a month here in UK.
But she might want to repeat that once in 3 months.
