Tier 2 Dependent Visa-Accomodation required

Post by patelashlesh83 » Sat Nov 22, 2014 7:07 pm

Hi,

I am from India.
I got my Tier 2 General visa for 3 year two days ago. I am not planning to apply for my wife (we have married 3 years ago and living together having 1 yr child) as Tier general Dependent visa.
My sponsored company has provided my maintenance but not for my family.

I am willing to go to UK in January 2015 along with my family. Below are my questions:

1. Do I need to provide tenancy agreement ? (in my case I am not having any accommodation details of UK as of now as I am still in india)
2. Do I need to ask my employer to provide me maintenance letter for my family ? (In my case I am ready with the 90 days bank balance for my family from my own and I am planning to get the bank statement for last 3 months with the bank stamp on that)
3. I am having my original marriage certificate, do I need to put our marriage photos ?

Kindly give your inputs as this is quite urgent for me. I am planning to apply for my family in next week.

Many thanks in advance. I will really appreciate your help.

Tenancy agreement is not a MUST for an application.
Marriage certificate is fine, photographs may not be needed asa far as I know.
When you make your application, it will detail out the supporting documents that you will need.
As for maintenance, as long as you are able to show the necessary funds it should be fine, however if your sponsor can provide maintenance for them, and its not much of a hassle for you to ask that, then go for it.

I really appreciate your reply Sheffield_Marketeer. Thanks.

It helped me to clear my doubts on my previous questions. I am having one more doubt please try to reply me at the earliest.

Question: In India few consultants are suggesting me not to fill-up the separate application form for my child (who is 11 months old), they are suggesting that the common application form should be enough for both my wife as well as my child because he is minor (under age of 5). Please clarify me on this.

Also if I need to make two separate application (for my wife and child) then below documents should be included with both the application ? If anything more is required then please suggest me so. Kindly verify the list:

Wife - dependent 1:
1. My Xerox copy of Passport along with the VISA stamped page
2. My CoS letter from the employer (Original)
3. My Offer letter from the employer (Original)
4. Our Marriage certificate (Original)
5. My bank statement with the declaration letter from the bank on their letter head (as my wife is housewife) (Original)
6. Maintenance letter from the employer for my dependent (Original)
7. Wife's passport (Original)
8. Wife's Passport size Photos (with UK specific size)
9. Wife's TB test certificate
10. My Own declaration letter to support my dependents throughout their stay in UK self attested by me

Child - dependent 2:
1. My Xerox copy of Passport along with the VISA stamped page
2. My CoS letter from the employer (Original)
3. My Offer letter from the employer (Original)
4. My bank statement with the declaration letter from the bank on their letter head (as my wife is housewife) (Original)
5. Maintenance letter from the employer for my dependent (Original)
6. Child's passport (Original)
7. Child's Passport size Photos (with UK specific size)
8. Child's TB test certificate
9. Child's Birth Certificate (Original)
10. My Own declaration letter to support my dependents throughout their stay in UK self attested by me

Kindly suggest if anything more is required at the earliest possible as I am planning to submit application end of this week.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have had the experience of making an application for my infant son (under 1 then) only once in India and that application was made separately so obviously had to use a form for him.

There have been recent changes in the process with new forms and new interface which could mean that you could do without a separate application form for your son. I am not 100% sure of this.

How reliable are these immigration consultants? If you can trust their service, then by all means go ahead.

Your documents list looks right to me.
Effectively dependants need to demonstrate their identity, maintenance and their relationship subsisting with the main applicant, which you are doing.

Great, thanks for the confirmation.

I am going to submit my application by my own now without taking any help from consultant agents :).

Just want to confirm one thing, as I am going to submit 2 applications for my 2 dependents, I am having only one original copy of my CoS letter, offer letter and maintenance letter from sponser, then how can I put the originals for both of the files.. I have to put Xerox copy in one of the file. Does this valid ?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Hello Patelashlesh83

Have your dependent (partner and child) received PBS dependent visa?

I'm having the similar situation as you been and I want your guidance on it.

Thanks
Paresh
