Tier 1 - Dependent Visa Info

Post by dreamer645 » Sat Mar 13, 2010 12:31 pm

Hi All,
My wife's initial depnedent visa application was rejected due to lack of maintainence fund.
I have appealed and waiting for an decision.

I guess i can re-apply second time, even when my initial application is going through appeal process....could some one with similar experience answer please?

Would appeal against first application affect decision on second application?

I am very confused at not sure whether i should apply now or wait for couple of months. Is it necessary to have few months gap between two application?

Thanks.

Did the case worker make a mistake or did you not actually have enough maintenance fund?

No, i guess i have made a mistake......i didn't had funds in the required account.

Actually, in my intial appliaction i missed including prrof of any funds.

And hence during i submitted my wife's bank stament which had 550+ pounds for last 6 months....and to show my 800 pounds i have included my fidelity account stament...which i think they won't consider.

In my idelity account, i contribute 10% of my monthly salary every month and at the end of year i have an option by company share at a discount or withdraw money....I did that whole of last year and hence had 800+ pounds for last 6 months aswell........but i think this they won't consider, but still have appealed against the decison....

Do you guys think, i should withdraw application......as i don't want my second application to be affected........guys please advice......

Thanks.

The Fidelity account you mentioned above, are the funds readily available? According to your post they can be availed at the end of the year and so are not available funds. The policy guidance clearly states that the funds must be readily available.

There is a very bleak chance that your appeal would be granted, if any at all.

Not sure if it would affect your second application. But, If it was me, I would not waste time.

I can withdraw funds anytime......by writing to them........and contribution transferred to my account within 30 days period.........

This is clearly mentioned in the policy document.....

Contribution transferred to your account within 30 days period is not readily available my friend (that is what I understand anyway). If it was me, I would not waste my time. It is upto you and also wait for others to respond.

Ok...got your point.....

I guess that's why it was not considered.....

This is the reason i am not sure whether i should withdraw application or not?

And if i don't withdraw, would that affect my second application? I know i might be wasting some of there time as well as mine.....so even i am not sure whether it's a worth....

People who have had similar experiences please respond......

Cheers
