Tier-2 dependent visa query- minimum period of visa

Hi,

I am on tier-2 visa for last 4 yrs. I am getting married now, but i am having only 6 months of visa left. Can i bring my wife as a dependent for 6 months period? is there any minimum period of visa as a restriction in dependent visa? one of my friend said about this, but i could not able to find anything on this in policy guidance. Can you please suggest?
