Post by kakkereni » Tue May 10, 2011 4:21 pm

Hi,

I have just arrived in UK with Tier 1 genral migrant visa.

I have already got dependent visa for my wife, now i need to apply for my kids visa

my query is if do i need to show maintenance funds as 800+1600+1600
or 2800+1600+1600

and

Can i show India's accont statements also

like

2400 pounds in UK+120000Rupess in Indian bank

Will this be accpeted as maintenance funds

earliest reply would be highly appreciated

Many people say you wouldn't require funds for yourself and only for dependant that you are applying But id say be on safe safe since you got tier 1 from abroad

2800+1600+1600

yes you can use indian rupees as long as its under your name or your wife exchange rate on oanda.com

What i also found out is that it helps writing a small cover letter to explain what documents you have submited and what your finances are made up of. it's always safe to assume the person reviewing it would struggle to make sense of your application so, GUIDE HIM
