Tier 2 Established Staff extention after 5 years

Hi,

I have read multiple questions on this forum and have found very useful information. I would still like to confirm the same about my case:

Original entry clearance:
Visa Category: Tier 2 ICT (Established Staff)
Validity: 30/08/2010 to 28/03/2011
First Entry: 01/09/2010

First Extension:
Visa Category: Tier 2 ICT
Validity: 14/03/2011 to 14/10/2012

Second Extension:
Visa Category: Tier 2 ICT
Validity: 11/09/2012 to 12/09/2015


As per various responses to questions in this forum, I think that:

1. I am eligible to extend my visa as long as my sponsor continues to sponsor me in this Catogery i.e. there is no limit of 5 years applicable in my case
2. I am eligible to ILR once I have completed 10 years in UK in this category as long as my sponsor continues to sponsor me in this category during this period

I would be really greatful if someone can confirm my assumption.

Thanks a lot Manci for confirming my assumption.

One of my colleagues under similar circumstances had received a confirmation from my company's immigration consultant in January this year that there is no way that he or I can extend our stay in UK beyond 5 years. Are there any caveat that might result in such situation that makes our consultant think so.

The 5 year limit only applies to those whose initial T2 ICT leave was granted on or after 6 April 2011 (not your case)
